Marilyn Kay Roth, 75, of Arrow Rock passed away unexpectedly on November 16, 2021, at her home.
Visitation for Marilyn will be 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. on Saturday November 20th at Howard Funeral Home. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
Marilyn Kay Roth was born July 15, 1946, in Boonville, MO., the daughter of Ernest Drechsel, Jr. and Wilma Maxine Roach. She graduated from Boonville High School in 1964. She married Hershel L. Roth in Pilot Grove on August 29, 1964. Marilyn loved to help on the farm and in her spare time she made her house look perfect. She enjoyed traveling to Spain, Hawaii, and Alaska, but loved spending time in Texas when Hershel and her retired. Marilyn also enjoyed working in her water garden and joining friends for coffee on Tuesday mornings in Arrow Rock. She was a 4-H judge and got the Citizenship award trip to Washington D.C. Marilyn loved being a part of the Arrow Rock community and being a member of the Rug Hooking Club that met in Marshall and a member of the Arrow Rock Federated Church.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Maxine, husband, Hershel and brother, Jerry Drechsel in 2006. She is survived by her children, Bonnie (John) Dillon of Boonville, Kevin (Jennifer) Roth and Curtis (Ali) Roth all of Blackwater. She is also survived by her sister, Nancy (Roger) Kueckelhan of Blackwater, and grandchildren, J.J. (Kristin) Dillon and Danielle Dillon, Jacob (Hannah) Roth and Megan (Fiancé Dan Kiser) Roth, and Scott and Laura Roth, two great grandchildren on the way and numerous neices and nephews.
