Michael Ray Deckard

Michael R. Deckard, 68, of Boonville passed away Tuesday evening July 19, 2022 surrounded by his family at University Hospital in Columbia.

Visitation for Michael will be 10 to 11 A.M. on Monday morning July 25 at Howard Funeral home with family and friends celebrating memories following at 11 A.M

Michael Ray Deckard was born March 11, 1954, in Kansas City, MO., the son of Waff Deckard and Imogene Rucker Deckard. Michael loved to shoot guns and fish. He enjoyed hugs and getting his belly rubbed. He loved to tinker with his old truck in the garage and could fix anything. Somehow, he always came out looking like a grease monkey. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially the grandkids.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents Waff and Imogene. He is survived by his son, James (Tanya) Deckard of Boonville, brothers James and Robert Deckard. Sisters, Maxine Archambault, Barbara Jones, Marilyn Deckard, and Shirley Benjamin. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Danielle Deckard, Michael Deckard and numerous nieces and nephews.
