Obituary
Michael Patrick Kraus, 71, of Columbia, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2023, at Boone Hospital Center.
Mike was born in Boonville, Missouri, on January 1, 1952, the son of Harold and Joan “Joann” Schuster Kraus. He attended Saints Peter & Paul Catholic School and Boonville High School in Boonville, Missouri, and Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Missouri.
He worked for many years at McGraw Edison and Toastmaster in Boonville and at the University of Missouri in Columbia.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brother Steve (Darlene) Kraus of Boonville, Missouri, sister Joyce (Jerry) Golden of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, brother Chris (Chris) Kraus of Bloomington, Minnesota, nephews Jay (Amanda) Golden, Reed Golden, and Benjamin Kraus- Wilson, nieces Kelly (Scott) Eidson, Karen (Chris) Harbert, Lisa (Josh) Simms and Megan Kraus.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 8, 2023, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Boonville, Missouri, with Father Mark Smith officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School in Boonville.
