Michael David Zey

Michael David Zey, 75, of Wooldridge passed away April 25, 2022, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.

Visitation for Michael will be held at Howard Funeral Home Thursday, April 28, 2022, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Father Derek Hooper officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.

Michael David Zey was born October 3, 1946, in Prairie Home, the son of Eugene and Dorothy May (Fisher) Zey. He graduated from Prairie Home High School in 1964. Michael was then drafted into the Army and served in Vietnam for one year. He married the love of his life Linda Sue Sprock June 11, 1966, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Michael worked as a Construction Specialist for State Farm Insurance from 1968 to 2004 when he retired. After retirement he enjoyed spending time at home and collecting coins, stamps, and baseball cards. Michael’s loving personality will be forever missed.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents and sisters Dorothy Jean Zey Brown, Marceline Zey Jeffery, and Janice Zey Baker. He is survived by his wife Linda Zey of the home, daughters Kelley and Shauna Zey, brothers Kenneth, Hubert, Claude, Richard, John, Robert and Stephen Zey, and sisters Ruth Ann Wittenberger, Carol Beth Mills and Michelle Zey- Burnan. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Taylor Ray, Skyler Lyons, Kaylee Lyons, and Zachary Wolfe.
