Nancy June Kueckelhan, 73, of Lamine, passed away unexpectedly in her home, Friday March 29, 2024.
Visitation for Nancy will be Friday April 5 from 4 to 7 P.M. at Howard Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 A.M. Saturday April 6 at Howard Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Old Lamine Cemetery in Blackwater.
Nancy was born September 4th, 1950. She was the daughter of Ernest Robert (June) and Wilma Maxine Drechsel. She graduated from Laura Speed Elliott in 1968. She married Roger Robert Kueckelhan on March 20th, 1971, at the United Church of Christ in Boonville, MO. They resided in Lamine, MO their entire marriage of 52 years.
Nancy started her career at Boonslick Savings and Loan for many years until she was in an accident that left her paralyzed. After five years at home relearning how to raise her family from a wheelchair, she rejoined the work- force at Wal-Mart, where she retired after 30+ years. She loved her flower gardens, hummingbirds, and most of all, being around her 3 girls, 7 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. Nancy was loved by so many in the community. Everyone would say she always had a smile on her face and her home was open to all.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Robert Kueckelhan, her parents, Ernest Robert (June) and Wilma Maxine Drechsel of Boonville, MO, grandparents, Vernon Fred and Eva Jane Wallace Roach from Boonville, MO, grandparents, Ernest Robert, Sr and Nettie Haas Drechsel from Boonville, MO, her infant brother, Terry Ray Drechsel, her brother, Jerry Ray Drechsel from Boonville, MO, and her sister, Marilyn Kay Drechsel Roth from Arrow Rock, MO.
She is survived by her daughters: Shelley (Shane) Jennings of Franklin, MO, Stacia (Chris) Gerrish of Columbia, MO, and Shauna (Shawn) Bohlken of Boonville, MO. Grandchildren; Addyelin Marie Gerrish, CannaRassa June Jennings, Khale Parker Bohlken, Casten Erye Rix Jennings, Mikayla Eva Marie Bohlken, Caden Monroe Gerrish, Kelsie Brooke Jennings-Martin (Cameron), and great-grandchild; Wesley Creed Martin, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was a true miracle and will be missed dearly.
