Raymond Kenneth Huth, 92, a prominent farmer of rural Boonville, passed away on Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024 at Katy Manor in Pilot Grove MO.
Visitation will be held at Howard Funeral Home in Boonville, MO on Thursday, January 25th, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Clarks Fork Trinity Lutheran Church on Hwy U, Friday, January 26th, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at the Clarks Fork Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Kenneth was born on August 29th, 1931, to Raymond Peter Leonard Huth and Clara Margaret (Lohse) Huth in Prairie Home, MO. He graduated from Prairie Home School in 1949. Following graduation he began farming, a past time he loved and enjoyed. On January 12th, 1954 he enlisted in the US Army. Following basic training he was sent to Ft Lewis, WA where he was stationed until his discharge in January 1956. Kenneth then returned home to live on the farm where he was still living and was in partnership with his two sons and grandchildren.
Kenneth was united in marriage to Helen Bishop on March 23rd, 1954 at the Evangelical Reformed Church in Boonville, MO. They would have celebrated 70 year in March. She joined him in June where they lived in Olympia, WA while he served at Ft Lewis.
Kenneth was active in his church. He was Baptized and Confirmed at the Clarks Fork Trinity Lutheran Church where he was a 4th generation of his family to be a member of the church. His great grand children are the 7th generation of the church. He served as Sunday School Superintendent, Secretary of the Congregation, Syndical, Elder and Choir. He was a member of the Men’s Club and served on the Clarks Fork Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery Board. He served on the Prairie Home School Board, Cooper County Extension as Vice President, 4-H Council, Beef Leader of Zion 4-H Calves, 20 years UMB Bank Advisory Board, and Missouri Association Mutual Insurance Company Board of Directors. He received the Beef Award and Ag Production Award from Chamber of Commerce Ag Appreciation Banquet, and Cooper County Cattlemen’s Cattlemen of the year in 1999. In addition to farming he was employed as Manager/Secretary Treasury for Clarks Fork Mutual Insurance Company for 26 years.
Kenneth enjoyed going to his son’s sports games and later grandkids and great grandkids. He & Helen enjoyed vacations with their great friends Margaret and Hoot Schemwell.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Clara Huth, his sister Marcella Martin, brother-in-law Lashley Martin, and one great grandchild.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Helen of the home, two sons; Jeff (Mary) Huth of Bunceton, Steve (Diana) Huth of Boonville, three grandchildren; Chris (Jessica) Huth of Bunceton, Sandra (Shain) Waibel of Prairie Home and Trever (Ashley) Huth of Boonville, four great grandchildren; Logan and Kinzie Waibel, Daisie and Gentry Huth and several nieces and nephews.
