Franklin Earl Myers was born January 6, 1935 to Olga (Handel) Myers and Frank Myers in Easley, MO. He graduated from Hickman High School in Columbia, MO in 1953. He married Emogene Verts in 1955 in Columbia, MO. He attended Central Bible Institute in Springfield, MO, graduating in 1957,
Upon completion of Bible College in 1957, Earl began pastoring Assembly of God churches. He pastored in Shelbina, MO, Bucklin, MO, Houston, MO and Boonville, MO. He also served as the first Northern Missouri District Youth Director at Lake Maurer Campgrounds in Excelsior Springs, MO. In 2019 Earl received an Honor of Recognition from the Southern Missouri District for successfully completing 60 years of pastoral ministry.
Earl is survived by his three children, Donna McClaughry (Brad) of Chillicothe, MO, John Myers of Boonville, MO and David Myers (Jessica) of Kansas City, MO.
Earl is also survived by seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren, who brought him so much joy.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Emogene Myers in 2009, one brother; Alonzo Myers, four sisters; Ione Pavoloski, Vivian Thurston, Viola Schwab, and his twin sister, Pearl Souder.
Earl left a lasting legacy to anyone who met him. He always gave everyone a friendly smile and a word of encouragement. He will be greatly missed.
