Robert "Bob" Birdsong, 73, of Prairie Home Mo. passed away Monday July 27, 2020 at Boone Hospital Center In Columbia, Mo.

Bob was born September 27, 1946 in Boonville Mo. the son of Robert Dale Birdsong and Gladys Wolfe. He was raised by William "Bill" and Lowell Odneal from the time he was a young boy. He worked on the family turkey farm and graduated from Prairie Home High School in 1964. He then joined the Navy and served over seas. He graduated from San Francisco State University receiving his bachelor's degree in business. Bob married Alison Bryant on August 10, 1968 in Vancouver B.C. They first lived in California, then moved to Washington state. Some of the jobs he held were working for MFA and AllState insurance companies, GTE directories, Wee-Care Early Learning Center and Blue Ribbon Steel Buildings. When he retired, he moved back home to Missouri and worked security at Isle of Capri Casino in Boonville. He enjoyed watching TV, basketball and baseball, playing cards and eating at Duncan's Diner. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Alison. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Robert) Parrish of Elk Grove Ca., grandchildren Savannah Birdsong-See, Robert Jr., Jimmy and Brooklyn Parrish and several siblings, cousins and friends.
