Robert "Bob" A. Brueckner

Robert “Bob” Albert Brueckner, 83, of Boonville passed away Friday, August 6, 2021, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.

A graveside service will be held at Walnut Grove Cemetery Tuesday, August 10, 2021, beginning at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Bendi Burgin officiating.  Everyone is invited to attend the service the family ask you to practice social distancing guidelines, for those that can’t attend the  service it will be live streamed on Howard Funeral Home’s Facebook page and website.

Bob Brueckner was born July 20, 1938, the son of Victor and Pauline (Brockman) Brueckner. Bob graduated from Boonville High School in 1956. He married the love of his life Betty Miller August 7, 1961, in Miami Oklahoma, they had been married 60 years. Bob was a lifelong member of the United Church of Christ. He was a milk man for a number of years then served as a county commissioner. Bob enjoyed working on the farm and tending to his cows. He also enjoyed attending auctions. He loved to be with his family, his children and grandchildren were his pride and joy. He was loved and will be dearly missed.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Louise Martin, Thelma Gerke, Emmarie Kempf, Lola Calvin and Linda Brueckner. He is survived by his wife Betty Brueckner of Boonville, son Mike (Christa) Brueckner of Boonville, daughter Robin (Brian) Shay of Grain Valley, and grandchildren Caleb, Abby, Joe, and Tiffany Brueckner.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Evangelical United Church of Christ of Boonville.
