Robert Carl Friedrich

Robert Carl Friedrich, 95, of Boonville passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at Riverdell Care Center.

Visitation for Robert will be held at Howard Funeral Home Saturday, March 18, 2023, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Tim Fairley officiating. Burial will follow in St. John’s UCC Cemetery in Billingsville.

Robert Carl Friedrich was born September 15, 1927, the son of Arthur and Frieda (Schwitzky) Friedrich. He graduated from Boonville High School in 1945. Robert married the love of his life Thelma Louise Bishop on February 15, 1952. He was a lifetime member of the St. John’s United Church of Christ.  He was also a longtime member of the Church Board and the Cemetery Board. Robert loved to hunt and fish, he especially loved to go pheasant hunting in Kansas. Robert farmed all his life and enjoyed it, but after retiring he found joy in being with family. He and Louise would travel, go dancing with friends, play a game of pitch or just be with their grandchildren.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Louise Friedrich, brother Arthur Friedrich Jr., sister Carol Smith and grandson Joshua Friedrich. He is survived by his sons James, John (Stacie), and Tony (Carolyn) Friedrich. He also leaves behind grandchildren Suzanne (Aric) Pearson, Alison (Zach) Braddy, Christine (Jacob) Corbin, Daniel (Melissa) Friedrich, and Esther Friedrich and great grandchildren William, Samuel, Theodore and Charles Braddy, Lucas, Benjamin and Maisie Friedrich and Adrienne Pearson and numerous close nieces and nephews.
