Robert "Bob" Allen Coates

Robert “Bob” Allen Coates, 70, of Blackwater passed away unexpectedly Sunday, June 5, 2022, at his
home.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
Robert “Bob” Allen Coates was born September 1, 1951, the son of Everett and Beulah (Ballew) Coates.
Bob enjoyed fixing carburetors, sweets, morel mushrooms, and the challenge of fixing equipment for
people in his community. He loved to tinker in his shed or mow around town. If the weather was just
right, he would get his old Chevy truck out for a ride. His wealth of mechanical knowledge and his silly
quirks will be missed by many.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law Shelby Price. He is survived by one sister
Carroll Ballenger (Larry) and his children Ronnie Allen Coates, Kelly Robert (Davin) Coates, Todd
Benjamin (Carolyn) Coates and Kimberly Dawn Price. He also leaves behind sixteen grandchildren, three
great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
