Shirley Anne (Desmond) Wentworth

Shirley Anne Wentworth, 80, of Boonville passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Riverdell Care Center.

A graveside service for Shirley will be held Friday, January 29, 2021 at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in New Franklin beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Tim Fairley officiating.

Shirley Anne Wentworth was born September 16, 1940 the daughter of Archie Kern Desmond and Mary Elizabeth O’Dell. Shirley was always busy with arts and crafts, and shopping for collectibles.  She was a member of the Daughters of The American Revolution. Shirley also loved to garden; she enjoyed being outdoors and all the beautiful flowers. When Shirley was at home, she enjoyed watching westerns, police dramas, and reality tv shows such as survivor and dancing with the stars. She had a fondness for politics and an appetite for Mexican food, margaritas, ribs, and steak. Most of all, Shirley would always take time to spend with family and friends and was always so much fun to be around and will be missed dearly.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents Archie Kern Desmond and Mary Elizabeth O’Dell, stepfather Al James, son Ricky Wentworth, and brothers Kenny and Warren Desmond. She is survived by three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, Julie, Ronnie, Andrea, Maxwell, Erick, Heather, Skylar, Raygan and Anthony Desmond and large extended family.
