Sonya Lynn Mullins

Sonya Lynn Mullins was born on August 2, 1971, in Columbia, Missouri, to Jim and Janice (Walker) Mullins. She was a joy to all who knew her until her passing on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.

Sonya graduated from Hallsville High School, Class of 1990. She worked in the office at M.S.T.A. and was a bartender at the VFW and Leathernecks in Warsaw.

Sonya enjoyed going on float trips, watching racing events, and going to mud runs. She was a big fan of The Big Bang Theory. She loved being a mom, “Aunt Sasha” to her nieces and nephews and especially being “Nana” to her grandkids.

Sonya was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Janice Mullins, 3 aunts and 2 uncles.

She is survived by her daughters: Courtney Henry of Columbia, Karli McCubbin of Independence, Kadi McCubbin (Steve Reedy) of Lincoln; sisters: Heidi Renfrow (Tim) of Boonville, Kerri Jackson (James) of Marshfield, Cindy Mullins (Timothy Knight) of Columbia; grandchildren: Izabella, Paisley, Ivory, and Kingston; uncles: Dennis Walker (Rose) , Jimmy Walker (Linda); and aunt Joyce Witt. 

A Celebration of Sonya’s Life will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2026, at The Fraternal Order of Eagles Post #1022 in Boonville. Dinner will be at 6:00 p.m. Live Music will start at 7:00 p.m. Meat will be provided. Bring a dish to share. 

Memorials may be made to Howard Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral arrangements.
