Susan Laurel (Hunsaker) Rhinesmith

Susan Laurel Rhinesmith, 76, of Boonville, Missouri, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2025, surrounded by family.

Born to Dale and Phyllis (Jensen) Hunsaker, Susan was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She had a deep love for family and cherished every moment spent with them—whether it was a simple gathering, a family vacation, or a weekend camping trip. She also shared a special bond with her husband, Jerry, and loved going on Harley rides—adventuring together and enjoying the open road. 

She was the heart of the family, always making those around her feel cared for, supported, and deeply loved. She truly was the best grandma anyone could ask for.

Susan is survived by her devoted husband, Jerry Rhinesmith; her daughter Aimee and son-in-law Shadd Simmons of Boonville, MO; her son John Smithey of Ogden, UT; her son Sean and daughter-in-law Jenny Smithey of Florida; and her many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and pride.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Phyllis Hunsaker; her daughter, Heather Keesler; her grandson, Brachan Simmons; and her great-granddaughter, Isla Smithey.
Susan's warmth, kindness, and enduring love will be missed beyond measure, but her spirit will continue to guide and inspire all who knew her.
