Vaughn Delynn Motsinger

Vaughn Delynn Motsinger, age 71, of New Franklin, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025. He was born in Clinton, Missouri on April 14, 1953, the son of James David and Doris Helen (Rowles) Motsinger. 

Vaughn graduated from Calhoun High School. His career started on Union Pacific Railroad for many years, then was employed by H&G Sales. He retired from Negwer Materials, Inc., where he was a Door Specialist and estimator. He married Judy Marie Thomas in Clinton, Missouri on May 3, 1974. 

He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He played basketball in high school and loved watching basketball on T.V. He was an amazing woodcarver as well. 

He is survived by his wife Judy Motsinger, of New Franklin; daughter Christina Dale Motsinger (Michael) of Columbia. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Doris Motsinger and grandparents, George Delton Motsinger, Edna Ellen Bullock.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Vaughn’s honor on Sunday, March 30, 2025 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Holiday Inn (Now Called Wyndham Hotels & Resorts) on 2200 I-70 Drive SW, Columbia, MO 65203 (573-445-8531).
