Wanda Irene (Acton) Backues

On Tuesday March 2, 2021 Wanda Backues, loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away at the age of 73.

Visitation for Wanda will be 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Monday, March 8 at Open Bible Praise Center with funeral services to follow at 1:00 P.M.

Wanda was born February 4, 1948 in Columbia, MO., to Exie and Aubrey Acton. Wanda worked faithfully for over 40 years at Columbia Insurance Group as a marketing support specialist. On June 9, 1985, she married Roger Backues. Wanda had such a generous and kind heart. Her life was a living example of Ephesians 4:32 = “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.” She had a love for Jesus and is at peace resting in his arms.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Exie Senor and Aubrey, brothers, Gary Acton, and Edward Senor. She is survived by her husband Roger, three children, Kenneth (Kim) Acton, Teresa (Jason) Cundiff, and Angela (Patrick) Stenger, Two brothers, Vernon Senor and Donnie Acton. She will be missed by her seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
