Wanda Lou Watters, 78, of Prairie Home passed away on June 11, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family.
Visitation for Wanda will be 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 17 at Howard Funeral Home. Funeral services following at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Don Almond officiating. Burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Prairie Home.
Wanda Lou Watters was born March 27, 1944, in Glasgow, MO., the daughter of William O. Lynn and Ila R. (Bentley) Lynn. She married John S. Watters on February 5, 1963, in Independence, MO. Wanda enjoyed camping, fishing and being outdoors. Playing Bingo at the Prairie Home Fair was one of her favorite things to do. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, William and Ila, son, John L. Watters, brothers, Billie O. and Jimmy R. Lynn, and sisters, Betty Simmons, and Martha L. Jones. She leaves behind her husband of 59 years, John S. Watters, children, Anthony S. Watters and Rhonda J. Watters, brother, Wilburn (Sonny) Lynn, sisters, Violet Johnson, and Rosa Mae Jackson. Also surviving are her grandchildren, DeAnna M. Small, Autumn D. Kee and great-grandchildren, Madysin J. Small and Avin J. Pettit and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and nephews.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
