Wanda Sue Zimmerman, 71, of Boonville passed away surrounded by her family Tuesday, June 13, 2023.
Visitation for Sue will be held at Howard Funeral Home Friday, June 16, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the United Church of Christ Saturday June 17, 2023, beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Russ Bradshaw officiating.
Wanda Sue Bader was born September 14, 1951, the daughter of Raymond and Margie (Sousley) Bader. Sue married Rick Zimmerman on December 25, 1984, in Boonville, Missouri. A devoted wife, mother, and Nana; Sue loved her children and grandchildren, they meant the world to her, and she loved all the time she could spend with them. She was a member of the United Church of Christ and was a strong believer, she enjoyed going to church and truly believed. She worked many years in the school system as a dietary specialist and loved the children she worked with so much. Sue loved being outdoors, she enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, watching the hummingbirds, and going camping. Sue also loved her fur babies and relaxing at home watching westerns, family feud and the hallmark channel. She was a kindhearted, loving spirit and she will be forever missed.
Sue is preceded in death by her grandparents Thomas Jeffrey and Sarah Mae Sousley and the children James, Rachel Mae, and William, parents Raymond and Margie Bader, son Jamie Wayne Dodson, brothers James, Chester, and Tommy Bader. She is survived by her husband Rick Zimmerman, children Paul Jeffrey (Tamara) Dodson, David William Zimmerman, and Stephine Lea Sims, brother Johnny Bader, and sister Ruthie Shaw. She also leaves behind grandchildren Ripken, Reese, Rylee, and Rafe Dodson, Amanda Brand, Katie Sims, Aaydin and Averi Zimmerman, great grandchildren Eleese and Triston Brand, Gracie and Grayden Sims and great-great grandchild Harper Dodson.
