Wayne W. Simmons, 84 of Boonville, Missouri passed away unexpectedly at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
Visitation for Wayne will be Saturday, September 17, 2022, from 11:30 to 1:00 p.m. at Howard Funeral Home. Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery in Billingsville.
Wayne W. Simmons was born February 28, 1938, in Prairie Home to Woodrow and Doris (Meyer) Simmons. Wayne married Bonnie Scott May 10, 1958 and had two children Scott and Jeana. Bonnie preceded him in death September 27, 2010. Wayne married Ramona Serck in 2011. Wayne worked for Boonville Coop for more than 30 years when he retired at 55 he started Simmons Pest Control and was still working and managing the family business. He enjoyed spending time with his family and boating at the Lake of the Ozarks. He was proud of his family and enjoyed traveling, especially to Georgia to see his daughter and grandchildren. Wayne also loved to visit casinos. Wayne loved life and always lived to the fullest, he will be forever missed.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents Woodrow and Doris Simmons, brothers Thomas and Robert Simmons, and sisters Linda Simmons and Betty French. He is survived by his wife Ramona of Boonville, MO, son Scott Simmons of Columbia, MO, daughter Jeana (Mike) Stone of Canton, GA, stepchildren Pat Green, Christi (Tim) Carmichael, and Steve (Carrie) Green. He also leaves behind grandchildren Amy Stone Cainion (fiancé Eric Rodriguez), Jason (Aubrey) Stone, Tyler Simmons, Nicholas Simmons, Blake (Melissa) Green, Courtney (Taylor) Book, Lindsey (Andy) Watts, Laura and Maggie Green, Austin, Alyssa and Addison Quinlan, Aaron (Tiffany) and Evan (Kaylee) Carmichael, Taylor, Matt, Jackson, Bailey, and Charley Green, great grandchildren Izabella Cainion, Jack Landon, and Maggie Stone, Lydia and Wally Green, Everett and Laurel Book, and Reese and Lachlan Carmichael.
