Wilbur Smiley Farris, Jr., 90, of Boonville passed away Friday evening October 15, 2021, at his home with his family by his side.
Visitation for Wilbur will be at Howard Funeral Home on Monday, October 18 from 5:00-7:00P.M. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. at Howard Funeral Home on Tuesday. October 19. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery with full Military Honors.
Wilbur was born April 26, 1931, in Boonville, MO., the son of Wilbur Farris and Mary Farris McFarland. Wilbur married Rebecca Snipes on January 15, 1954, in Washington, D.C. Wilbur graduated from Boonville High School and served four years in the U.S. Airforce. After retuning home from the Airforce, he returned to the family farm. He loved golfing and his favorite past time was spending time with his family and friends.
Wilbur was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Mary and brothers, Lacy, Mac, Arthur, Pat, Ted, Bob, and Larry. He is survived by his wife Rebecca of the home, Son, Wilbur Farris III of Clinton, MO., daughters, Martha (Justin Hinshaw) Howell, Toni (Brian) Esser, Sandy (Jim) Cade all of Boonville, MO., Marcia (Jay) Olson of Clinton, MO., and June (Richard) Ivy of Boonville, MO. Also surviving is his sister, Mary Jane Medlin of Springfield, MO., 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
