William Lee “Bill” Kramel, 97, of Boonville passed away in his home surrounded by his family Tuesday, January 23, 2024.
Visitation for Bill will be held at Santa Fe Trail Baptist Church Tuesday, January 30, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Peninsula Cemetery in Blackwater.
William Lee Kramel was born February 18, 1926, in Blackwater, the son of William and Ella (Dial) Kramel. He graduated from Pilot Grove High School in 1944 and worked at Pan Handle Eastern Pipeline for 20 years. Bill married the love of his life Eleanor Cox June 4, 1950, in Cozad, Nebraska. He enjoyed farming his family farm. Bill was a member of the Santa Fe Trail Baptist Church; he was a devout Christian and was a deacon in the Baptist Church for several years.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents William and Ella Kramel, son Philip Kramel (Peggy), siblings Dorothy Benton (Ike), Rosaline Gerling (Francis), Betty Childers (Jack), Herman Kramel (Louise), Lillian Propes (Bob), Jessie Showalter (Rex). He is survived by his wife Eleanor Kramel of the home, daughter Kathy Hartman (Doug), siblings Bob Kramel (Sharon), Emil Kramel (Kathy). He also leaves behind grandchildren Jason Hartman (Tessa), Greg Hartman (Shelly), Laura Kramel, Christine Rose (Jacob), Rachel Hartman, Lisa Hartman, Ashley Roach (Justin), Michael Hartman (Rachel), Caitlyn Kramel and numerous nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.
