She was married to N. Ronald Bledsoe on August 14, 1957. They moved to Gladstone, MO after marriage where they lived for 40 years raising their three children, who survive: Michael Bledsoe of Boonville, Michele (Roger) Young of Kansas City, and  Margaret Bruegging of Boonville. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Blake and Brent Bledsoe, Mark (Whitney) Young, Mary (Alan) Findley, Sara (Braden) Voss, Amanda (Matt Kirkland) Bruegging; great grandchildren: Gavin, Miles, Ayla, Titus, Silas, Addison, Judah, Lana, Sloane, and Clarke; brother-in-law Balwant Singh; and nephews: Prem (Jayne) Singh and Davinder Singh.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ron Bledsoe; granddaughter Catherine Bruegging, great granddaughter Sadie Young; and sister Joyce Brengarth.

Wilma was active in 4-H, winning many awards at the State Fair and many trips. She represented the State of Missouri in food preparation at the 1955 4-H Congress in Chicago.

She was a great cook and seamstress and homemaker. In 1996, they retired to the family farm and built their forever home. They always had a large garden, and she taught her children and grandchildren to cook, can and sew.

Wilma’s hobby was helping people, mostly young students, making sure they had the necessary things for their apartments, etc.  She belonged to the Nimble Thimble Sewing Guild, the Boonville Historical Society, S.S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, and was a 4-H Alumni, and former member of American Sewing Guild. She was a history buff and spent her time in later years reading all sorts of Missouri History books.
